Many congratulations to our lab head Dr. Justin Wong who successfully obtained two grants last month!! His grant with NHMRC will provide much needed research into acute myeloid leukaemia, whereas his grant with the NSW Government's Cardiovascular Research Capacity Program will explore more into the role of RNA modifying proteins in cardiovascular disease! The lab is incredibly proud of what Justin has achieved!

Congratulations to Ms. Emilie Wong who has graduated with a first class honours earlier this month! We are very proud of what you have achieved in the past year that you have been with us! We wish you all the best as you continue to embark on a scientific career!

Congratulations to Dr. Alex Wong and Mr. Immanuel Green on graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Philosophy respectively last week! Completing a doctorate or master degree by research is by no means a small feat, especially during the COVID-19 period! We are all incredibly proud of what you both have achieved!

Congratulations to Natalia Pinello and Immanuel Green for bagging both the Axel Ullrich Award and the Centenary Student Paper Award announced at that Centenary Year End Symposium. First time in history that students won both awards in a calendar year. Well done!
